Welcome to Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson
a fairytale castle set in the Pays de la Loire, France.
Whether it’s a small intimate family gathering or an extravagant soirée, husband and wife Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree guarantee that your journey will be effortless, and your celebration wondrous.
Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson is set within twelve acres of breathtaking parkland. It features a majestic moat, an Art Deco orangery, a walled garden and numerous outbuildings and stables, not to mention the chateau itself, which boasts five floors and forty-five rooms! It is truly a fairytale setting, and the ideal backdrop for your elegant vintage wedding.
The chateau was built in 1864 to show off its original owners’ wealth. The grand reception salons scream decadence and can host up to two hundred people.
The salle à manger can host twelve people for a sit-down course-tasting menu and the Art Deco orangery can seat eighty people for a wedding breakfast.
Angel Adoree, founder of The Vintage Patisserie has twenty years’ hospitality experience under her belt. Known for her attention to detail and quirky twist on events, Angel is an expert at turning dreams and visions into reality. She also believes that the journey should be just as much fun as the arrival which begins with very first phone call.
Angel’s husband, television presenter and Celebrity Masterchef finalist Dick Strawbridge, also knows a thing or two about hosting. With Dick’s incredible culinary knowledge, you can rest assured that you’ll be in the best of hands.
Angel and Dick understand that every celebration is unique, and do not understand the concept of a ‘package’. Whether it’s their signature taster menus in the Chateau or Orangery, high tea in the garden, a hog roast at midnight or anything else your imagination can think of, they have the experience, commitment, and passion to make your dream of an elegant vintage wedding come true.
